- M.N. Eye Hospital has a well-equipped library. The library has a comprehensive collection of books and leading journals on all specialties of the eye as well as management and community ophthalmology. The institution also carries a large video library of various procedures as well as special lectures. Trainees may also use the library’s computer stations that are equipped with high-speed internet. Besides this, the library offers excellent support for trainees and researchers to access relevant information through a web-based platform.

- A well- equipped wet lab provides the much needed practice for surgeons before and during the journey of surgery - an ease to surgical training. Microscope and instrument facilities are available.seniors guide in basic surgical techniques. suturing can be practised in wetlab,that helps in binocular vision and depth perception.

MN. Eye institutions strive to be patient-centric and the organization culture highlights a sense of discipline and compassion. Trainees at MN. Eye are required to follow a simple dress code.
- Women: It is appropriate for women to wear sarees, churidhars/salwar kameez to work. International trainees may wear long skirts or full pants and loose-fitting tops. Sleeveless tops are not appropriate. Avoid tight leggings or jeans to work. Those who are staying for longer periods are advised to buy Indian clothes such as the salwar kameez, as these will be more appropriate and comfortable.
- Men: Men are expected to wear button-down shirts and loose trousers. Avoid wearing jeans, t-shirts or shorts to work.Doctors are expected to wear shoes to the clinics. Sandals or open shoes would be comfortable for other occasions.
As you prepare for your travel to India and to the MN. Eye destinations, our coordinator will provide you with detailed information on what to expect when you arrive. This includes travel arrangements, living conditions, weather, and local food, as well as information on sightseeing and restaurants in the city.

- Hostel : M.N. Eye Hospital provides students with a comfortable stay and a unique opportunity to explore and enjoy the culture of North Madras. A well-equipped hostel at the premises of the hospital ensures the safety, comfort and security of the students.
- Library: A central library with a huge collection of Books, Journals, and CDs for the students.
- Classrooms: The classrooms are fully Spacious and available with the modern teaching technology of Multimedia Computer Projections.
- Laboratories: To provide practical training to the students, lab facilities are offered.
- Food Facility: The mess or canteen is completely hygienic and offers both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food for the students.
- Travel : MNEH is well connected by metro. The Tondiarpet metro station is 50 meters away and connects to the rest of the city.
Other than this, Health and Medical Facilities are also available at the college.
General Guidelines
- MN Eye Hospital works from Monday to Saturday from 08.30am till 07:00pm
- The administration works from 9:00 till 18:00. Trainees are expected to be punctual during working hours especially for Operating Theatre sessions and meetings.
- We value our patients privacy and we request our trainees to follow the best discipline and ethical norms in all stages of the patient care process.
- International money transfer services are available in Chennai
- Trainees are recommended to inform the Program Manager if they are intent to go somewhere by their own.
- We respect every single staff working at MN Eye Hospital and request our trainees to be respectful towards our personnel in every stage of patient care and training.
- Thus it is advised to attend the program until the end. In case of short stay or emergency leave inform the Program Manager

Rules & Regulations
- Smoking & Alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited in the Hostel rooms. Strict action will be taken against offenders.
- The Management & Staff will not be responsible for personal belongings.
- Residents must keep the Campus & Rooms clean. Defacing walls, equipment, furniture etc., is strictly prohibited
- Residents must turn off all the electrical equipments & lights , Fans, AC before leaving their rooms.
- Residents are not allowed to use electric stoves, heaters etc in rooms except in designated places
- Tipping of wardens, security guards, cleaning staff etc., is not permitted
- Visitors are allowed only in AV Room between: 4:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Visitors are not allowed beyond the visiting area.
- Any complaints regarding electric equipment, plumbing etc., is required to be entered in the ‘Complaints Book’.
- Silence: Strict silence shall be observed in hostel from 11.00 pm to 5.30 am. Care should be taken at all times to ensure that music\loud talking is NOT audible outside the room.
- Any manner of festivities and noise making\celebrations will not be entertained, which may cause disturbance to other residents in the hostel premises.
- Residents during their stay in the hostel will be governed by the management rules
- No outside Gusts/Students are allowed in hostel premises to stay.
